Mission Motorsport – Mission Community Armed Forces Engagement Lead

Reports to: Mission Community Chief of Staff

The Role

The primary task of the Mission Community Armed Forces Engagement Lead is to deliver Mission Community’s portfolio of projects, providing support to the existing Sector initiatives, and to the development of new ones, delivered under the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust (AFCFT) grant. In doing so the Armed Forces Engagement Lead is to promote and leverage advocacy, good Armed Forces Covenant behaviours and employer engagement, in order to enable and support members of the Armed Forces community, including service leavers, veterans, military spouses/partners into sustainable employment.

The Engagement Lead will immerse himself/herself in Mission Community Sector initiatives to develop relationships with trade and national governing bodies, client organisations and partners across all sectors of industry, identifying and exploiting areas of need, mapping of job specifications against transferable skills; and to harnessing other relevant organisations to generate and support Armed Forces engagement activity.
