Nearly 1,000 Easter Eggs given to Naval Families across the UK

Laughter, shared moments and a simple Easter egg can go a long way.

This spring, Royal Navy Family & People Support (RN FPS) brought families together through a nationwide programme of Easter egg hunts and community activities, made possible through a grant from Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.

Across the UK, from Portsmouth to Helensburgh, nearly 1,000 Easter eggs have been shared with children and young people in naval communities, alongside activities designed to bring people together at what can be a challenging time of year.

For many families, Easter is shaped by deployment, separation, and the ongoing pressures of Service life. These events offer an opportunity to connect with others who share similar experiences and feel part of a supportive community.

With the support of the grant, RN FPS delivered inclusive events ranging from egg hunts and crafts to games and community gatherings, helping families build connections and strengthen support networks.

Luke Barkes, SO3 BM Engagement & Comms at Royal Navy Family & People Support, said:

“On behalf of Royal Navy Family & People Support, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity for the generous grant that funded our Easter Eggs initiative this year.

“Their continued support enables RN FPS to bring joy to children across Service communities nationwide, helping to bring communities together during uncertain times this Easter. For families facing the challenges of deployment and Service life, these small moments of kindness make a real difference.”

Through initiatives like this, Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity is helping to strengthen connections across the naval community, ensuring families feel supported, valued, and part of something bigger.
