A blind veteran from Swansea has raised over £1,000 after walking 26-miles along the Gower Coast to raise money for Blind Veterans UK, the national charity for vision-impaired ex-Service men and women. 

To mark National Volunteering Week, a group of volunteers in South Wales have come together to plan a five-kilometre sponsored walk to raise awareness of volunteering opportunities with Blind Veterans UK, the national charity for vision-impaired ex-Service men and women.  

A man from Essex has raised over £2,000 for Blind Veterans UK, the national charity for vision impaired ex-Service men and women, by climbing the highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, as a tribute to his grandpa.

 A blind veteran from Greater Manchester ran his second London Marathon on 27 April and just three weeks later took on the Great Manchester Run in support of Blind Veterans UK, the national charity for vision impaired ex-Service men and women.  

 A blind veteran from Devon swam 80 lengths of his local pool to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day and has raised over £2,500 for Blind Veterans UK, the national charity for vision impaired ex-Service men and women.  

 A team of work colleagues from Staffordshire are set to jump from a plane on 18 May to raise money for Blind Veterans UK, the national charity for vision impaired ex-Service men and women.  

A military charity has released a series of illustrations, stories and photographs that bring to life the Second World War and VE Day memories of 13 of its beneficiaries including a WWII veteran from Hampshire.
