Families Federations seek vital transition feedback from military families

The Naval, Army and RAF Families Federations have been inviting military families to take part in sharing their views and experiences to help make a difference to Forces families. The response to the survey so far has been fantastic and the evidence that they are gathering is integral to our future work on the transition project. As a result of these responses they have decided to keep the Survey open for a further two weeks.

Armed Forces Pay – Have Your Say

The NFF meets annually with the Armed Forces’ Pay Review Body (AFPRB) to present feedback from Service People and their families. The AFPRB makes recommendations to the Prime Minister and the Secretary of State for Defence on military pay, allowances and charges. This year’s AFPRB will meet in the Autumn term.

Portsmouth Schools’ Cluster Visit HMS St Albans

School children from Portsmouth were treated to a very special day on board one of the Royal Navy’s frontline frigates in Portsmouth Navy Base.

The children, who all have parents who are serving members of the Armed Forces, got an exclusive tour around the Type 23 frigate HMS St Albans, which is nicknamed the ‘Saint’, before she continues her duties as the Fleet Ready Escort for the Royal Navy.

Money Can’t Buy Me Love

If you and your partner argue about money, you are in good company. Recent research by Relate shows that 55% of people rank money worries in the top three strains on a relationship. The average couple has 39 arguments about money each year. Compared to disagreements about other things, relationship conflicts about money can be more pervasive, problematic and recurrent, and may remained unresolved, despite more attempts at problem solving. Sound familiar?
