8th May 2018: OA Webinar – A Portfolio Career

OA consultant Fiona Jackson is joined by Vix Anderton, a former RAF Intelligence Officer who left the Service in 2014.

She will be sharing key insights into her career including pros and cons of a portfolio career and lessons she has learnt along the way.

Vix now has a portfolio career, working on gender and conflict, diversity and inclusion, and mental health and wellbeing.

We return to the historic city to deliver our flagship career event for officers in the North.

The OA Employment Symposium brings together transitioning and former officers with employers and industry experts, so they can take their next step towards a new career after the Armed Forces. The earlier you start the more time you will give yourself, and be able to do justice to your ‘reconnaissance’. There are so many opportunities out there, and it will take time to research them fully and identify where you feel you would fit in best.
You can start by doing some research online, where there is of course a huge amount of material and information. People will be impressed if you can demonstrate a certain level of knowledge. Read blogs, follow organisations on social media and look on their website.
