Read moreWirral veteran, Alison Williams (41), has become the latest cover star of the Combat Stress spring magazine after the leading veterans’ mental health charity supported her to regain her confidence and rediscover her voice.
Alison, who served in the Royal Air Force for 13 years, was chosen to join Gareth Malone’s Invictus Choir in 2016 and performed at the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games in Orlando, Florida last May.

The full-time course starts on 25th September 2017 and will run until July 2018 at SSVC’s headquarters in Buckinghamshire, so students will work with award-winning media teams alongside the programme of lectures.

The £43,000 grant to the Community Empowerment and Support Initiatives (CESI)-UK project will benefit approximately 200 ex-British Gurkhas over the age of 60.
This year-long community support project aims to provide a customised support programme to address isolation and loneliness issues as well as the health and wellbeing needs of Nepalese people in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
