Prince William Award Graduation with HRH The Duke of Cambridge KG KT

SkillForce is celebrating an incredibly successful 2018 Prince William Award Graduation Event.

The Duke of Cambridge was guest of honour at the first ever annual graduation, held on September 18th 2018. More than 150 Award graduates attended plus their teachers, SkillForce instructors (who are mainly ex-Service personnel) and guests. The occasion was an opportunity to congratulate all the young people who completed the character education programme in 2017/2018.

The award is delivered by instructors, predominantly with an Armed Forces background who are inspirational role models and help pupils develop confidence, resilience and self-belief.

Two inspiring Award winners from The Prince William Award Graduation Event: Our Graduate of the Year, Molly from Croft Primary School. And Hero Instructor, Kelly, who is now the SkillForce Area Manager for Central & SW England.

Kelly served in both the Royal Air Force and the British Army with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Kelly is a qualified sports coach, represented England in Netball, holds the Commonwealth Bronze Medal & British Record holder for the Javelin, and in 2016 was the World Boxing Council’s Silver Middleweight World Champion.

A short video of the impact on young people can be seen at here.
