About the team
There is a great role now available for the right person here at the RAFFF where you will provide specialist advice and support and work closely across the RAFFF Team to capitalise on opportunities to maximize the influence we have. This includes tracking Parliamentary reports and calls for evidence, briefings from the Defence Select Committee and the Armed Forces Attitude Surveys, as well as proactively managing the RAFFF surveys to provide the necessary evidence to influence and advocate for change. Tracking research and evidence from a wide range of relevant stakeholders will be key to this role, and understanding where the RAFFF should be either submitting evidence or using the outputs of other reports. The role will be involved across all Policy areas: spousal employment and overseas related issues; financial; education and health and additional needs issues, with support of others in the team.
We are based at offices at RAF Wittering and this role is suitable for agile working, with a requirement to attend the office regularly. If you have any queries about the role, please contact our Policy and Evidence Manager (line manager) at Vanessa.plumley@raf-ff.org.uk for an informal chat or with any questions you might have.

A background in research and analysing complex information is highly desirable. Please refer to the full role profile and person specification for the position which is available to download on our website www.rafa.org.uk. We will support you with flexibility in your working hours as there will be occasions when you will have to undertake travel to create and maintain productive relationships with various RAF personnel and key stakeholders.
