RAFAKidz has been awarded a generous grant which will enable it to bolster its speech and language therapy provision across its early years settings.
The grant was awarded by The Red Arrows Trust, a charitable organisation dedicated to making a positive impact through partnership and sponsorship of worthy causes.
The money will be used to enhance RAFAKidz’s existing speech and language therapy provision at its settings across the country, supporting the language development and communication skills of Service children who need additional support.
Suzy Everitt, SEND and Inclusion Lead at RAFAKidz, said:
“I am delighted that this investment recognises the importance of early communication support. Families can wait years to access speech and language therapy through the NHS. For Service children, who often move between educational settings and local authorities, it’s even harder for families to get the help they need.
“Our provision means our children get the support they need with their language development quickly and without delay. The grant will enable us to build on our strong inclusive provision and make an even bigger difference to our children and families.”
Air Vice-Marshal (Retd) Gary Martin Waterfall CBE at The Red Arrows Trust said:
“We are thrilled to provide this grant to support RAFAKidz’s vital speech and language therapy provision. The Trust aims to support charitable organisations that make a positive difference to their communities, and we think RAFAKidz ticks all the boxes in that regard. RAFAKidz’s early interventions mean children don’t have to wait for that essential support, providing better outcomes for children and their families.”
