Santa Paws delivers early Christmas Cheer for RNRMC

Crofton Dog Training Club Raises £1,080 for Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity

Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) is delighted to share some wonderful Christmas news, after Crofton Dog Training Club in Gosport raised an incredible £1,080 in support of the charity.

RNRMC was honoured to attend two Christmas parties at the club, led by Lesley Mawby, who has spearheaded fundraising efforts throughout the year. The club raised money via a range of activities, including a popular Christmas raffle, with funds split between two chosen charities.

The evening was packed with festive fun, as dogs and their owners took part in a variety of games – from musical statues to recall challenges – all judged by a guest representative from RNRMC. Certificates and rosettes were awarded to celebrate the dogs’ ongoing hard work and progress in their obedience classes, highlighting the dedication of both owners and trainers alike.

Adding to the festive spirit, eagle-eyed attendees may have spotted a very familiar Santa, whose dog Teddy proudly took first place in his category – proving that even Santa’s helpers have been working hard this year.

The evening concluded with the presentation of £1,080 in cash to Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity, a generous contribution that will help support serving personnel, veterans, and their families across the Naval Service.

RNRMC would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Crofton Dog Training Club, Lesley Mawby, and everyone involved for their outstanding generosity, festive spirit, and continued support. The evening was a great success, and a wonderful reminder of what communities can achieve when they come together for a great cause.
