Shared values means business for local firm

Values shape a company and no-one recognises this more than AAA Property (North East) Ltd who’s AAA Caring Caretaker Ltd division has secured a new cleaning and maintenance contract with Durham based, independent charity, Finchale to service their 13.5 acre site in Pity Me.

Founded by father and daughter Richard H Tucker MBE and Alison Stephenson the company was first launched as AAA Property (North East) Ltd in 2007. The award winning firm relocated to Newton Aycliffe in August 2014, and launched AAA Caring Caretaker Ltd in January of 2015. The operation employs a team of twelve, including three ex-forces staff, and Richard H Tucker MBE, who founded the business, said he is keen to get more local servicemen into its workforce.

It’s this determination to support local, ex-forces personnel that has helped secure a new contract with Durham based, independent charity Finchale. The new setup not only provides cleaning and maintenance across Finchale’s premises but also provides services to the offices of tenants based at Finchale’s Commercial Hub. The contract began in February 2017 and has seen existing staff, previously employed by a national provider, transfer across to the company.

AAA Property (North East) Ltd already has a considerable presence across the region and beyond, working with the NHS, Flexspace, a large number of care homes and estate agents as well as countless landlords.

Richard H Tucker MBE, who previously served in the first Gulf War with the RAF, said,

“AAA Property (North East) Ltd has been running since 2007 and we have grown from that point. Our team works for a variety of customers and really understands the world of property, cleaning and maintenance. We are looking forward to working with Finchale and welcoming the new members to the AAA family.

I’m delighted that we have been awarded this contract. Like the team at Finchale we work hard to support veterans and I’m keen to continue to provide former servicemen from the region quality jobs and a route in to work, as demand for our services continues to rise.

Employing Ex-forces personnel is perfect for us  – in some cases they don’t want to be in an office or working on thousands of widgets each day, they like the variety, independence and responsibility of being out there on their own, which is what they have had all their lives. Every day is different with us, every task is different and every property is different.”

Mel Pears MBE, CEO at Finchale said,

“It’s all part of our commitment to support local business and local communities. Richard and Alison really share the values of Finchale and I’m keen to engage with like-minded businesses.  I have known Richard for some time and he often supports our veterans, providing advice to individuals looking to set up their own business and taking time out of his busy schedule to help out. This venture is going to enable us to offer a higher level of service across the site at Finchale and for our commercial tenants. We see this as just the beginning.”
