The Southampton International Boat Show is proud to announce the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) as its official Charity of the Year for 2025.
As the principal charity of the Royal Navy, RNRMC exists to support sailors, marines and their families, for life. With a strong focus on making a meaningful difference, the charity is driven by service, support, and integrity – values that closely align with the spirit of the show.
Sam Nicholson MBE, Interim CEO, Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity said
“Being the charity partner for the Southampton International Boat Show is an absolute honour for Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity. We’re incredibly proud to be part of such a prestigious event that celebrates the very best of the UK’s maritime heritage.”
“It provides a unique and high-profile opportunity for us to raise awareness of the vital work we do in supporting sailors, marines, and their families, both serving and veterans. The show allows us to engage directly with the maritime community, share the stories that matter, and generate essential funds that enable us to continue delivering life-changing support.”
As the UK’s flagship marine event, the Southampton International Boat Show champions causes that resonate with its audience, and this partnership will bring a programme of engaging content for all visitors throughout the 10-day event.
RMRNC will host an interactive stand packed with activities for all ages. Visitors can take part in pop-up sustainability workshops such as “Make Your Own Upcycled Item” and children can learn about environmental impact through fun, hands-on sessions led by the Royal Navy’s dedicated sustainability team. The Royal Naval Volunteer Band of HMS COLLINGWOOD will also be in attendance on Saturday 27 September bringing ceremony and pageantry to the show with a live musical performance and traditional marching displays.
RNRMC Mascots Toots and Boots will delight families across both weekends and during school visit days. The RNRMC team will also host inspirational sessions and Q&As on leadership through adversity, featuring World Record Holding adventurer Aldo Kane, members of the HMS Oardacious ocean rowing team, and the Royal Navy Sustainability Lead. Visitors will also be able to shop bespoke upcycled items made from recycled Royal Navy life rafts from the RMRNC stand throughout the show.
“We’re delighted to welcome Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity as our Charity of the Year,” commented Lesley Robinson, CEO for British Marine, owners and operators of the Southampton International Boat Show. “Their values, commitment to community, and strong local ties make them a natural fit for the show. This partnership gives visitors a chance to learn more about the work of the charity, and to hear powerful stories of service and resilience while supporting an incredible cause.”
The Southampton International Boat Show takes place from 19–28 September. Tickets for the event start at £29 (military and other concessions from just £23), children aged 15 and under enter for free with an adult.
