The Naval Children’s Charity welcomes new Head of Programmes and Funding

The Naval Children’s Charity are delighted to welcome Rachel Price who joins the charity as the Head of Programmes and Funding, leading on the strategic ambitions of our work on partnership working and promoting effective collaboration.

As Head of Programmes & Funding ,Rachel will is a key member of the Charity and, as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, will play a significant part in delivering the objectives set out by the Board of Trustees.

Rachel is the lead for developing our Life Chances programme for enabling children and young people from the serving, reservist and veteran Naval community to develop a range of skills and attributes increase their personal resilience and widen their horizons.

Rachel has lived and worked within the Armed Forces Community for over 27 years, she is married to Steve, a serving officer in the AAC, they have two children. A strong ally to the LGBT community, and as a parent of a young adult with Downs Syndrome she has been strong advocate not only for his needs but for those in the whole Armed Forces community whose voices are not often heard.

Rachel has had a wide, fulfilling and varied career in the military charity sector, most recently at Cobseo, The Confederation of Service Charites.  Her life experiences have compounded with her professional roles giving Rachel an exceptional set of skills and the drive to support our Naval Community.
