Do you have what it takes to be part of the Walking With The Wounded (WWTW) team? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Communications Manager to join our organisation, working within our small and dynamic marketing team to help raise our profile through multi-media marketing and PR.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing charity that provides life-changing support to the lives of veterans and their families. It is also a key role for WWTW and we are looking for a motivated, self-starter to join us. This position is to cover a period of maternity leave.

To support our ex-servicemen and women, we rely on funding from key partners and the public. To reach those audiences, we rely on a dynamic, creative, and proactive marketing team.  As the Communications Manager, you are crucial to the success of that team, delivering WWTW’s digital communications including the monthly e-newsletters, managing WWTW’s main social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn), managing and writing engaging copy for the website, supporting the Income and Events team with delivery of regional and trade charity PR and supporting the Head of Communications with the delivery of the charity’s communications plan.

We’re looking for someone who has experience and confidence in both PR and marketing via social media platforms. We also want someone with a passion for our work.

Experience of having served or working with veterans is not a prerequisite, but an understanding of veteran issues may be helpful. There is a strong culture at WWTW; a solution focused, supportive, can-do attitude – it is essential to us that this ethos is maintained in all areas.

In return we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills and career as a Communications Manager in a supportive, inclusive environment. In this role no two days are the same and every day will bring new challenges for you to get stuck into.
