Do you have what it takes to be part of the Walking With The Wounded team? We have a vacancy for an Operations Administrator in our Head Office in Stody, Norfolk. You would be joining a small but dedicated team to empower ex-service personnel to regain their independence, thrive and contribute in our communities.

Walking With The Wounded supports those who have served in the Armed Forces and their families. Those who are now facing challenges, perhaps due to their mental or physical health needs, or perhaps a lack of secure employment or housing. Our programmes of support focus on three key areas; mental health and wellbeing, employment and Care Coordination.

If you join our team, you will primarily support the Mental Health Programme, Head Start. We receive around 500 referrals for support to this programme each year, and you would play a key role in processing those referrals. We are looking for someone who has first-class administrative skills, with an eye for detail. Ideally someone who has worked in an environment where you have handled confidential information and therefore understand the importance of data protection and careful data handling. You will be using a database and excel on a daily basis, so someone who is confident with those methods is crucial. If you have experience of supporting vulnerable people through previous administration roles, that would be welcomed too, as you will understand the need for pace and accuracy in ensuring people get appropriate and timely support.

In return we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills and career as an administrator in a supportive, inclusive environment. In this role no two days are the same and every day will bring new challenges for you to get stuck into. Please note that whilst this role will be based at our Head Office in the long term, during COVID19 we are largely home working, and we would discuss the implications of this at interview.

For an informal discussion please contact one of the Mental Health team on 01263 863 469. Interviews will be held w/c 31 August and may be held via Zoom or another webinar type platform, depending on current Covid-19 restrictions.
