Terms of Appointment. This is a hybrid, 4-day week permanent position. Ideally located within daily travelling distance of Tidworth, the post holder will also be required to travel nationwide for site visits and events.
Salary: £50,000 pa. Salary review on first anniversary of appointment.

Harnessing the passion of the team who use the power of the horse to deliver profound and life changing effect, your management skills will ensure that the Charity’s resources are effectively focused to improve the lives of Service personnel and their families; Veterans; and members of the local communities in which we work.
The CEO is responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the charity and for supporting the Board in upholding the highest standards of oversight, accountability, and leadership.
Key Areas of Focus
- Strategic Vision & Delivery: Translate strategy into impact, aligning operations, teams, and partnerships around bold ambitions
- Leadership & Culture: Inspire and empower staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to thrive in an inclusive, high-performance environment
- Governance & Finance: Embed strong governance, financial integrity, and risk management across every aspect of operations
- External Relations & Profile: Amplify the charity’s public presence, forge new relationships, and unlock funding opportunities
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate a strong mix of strategic leadership, operational management, and deep alignment to the charity’s values.
We are particularly interested in individuals with:
- Proven track record of leadership, and operational/stakeholder management.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate across diverse audiences; excellent IT skills.
- Experience in financial and resource management.
- Commitment to integrity, cross-cultural awareness, and inclusive leadership.
- Experience in remote team management and multi-site operations.
- Creation and management of income generation strategy.
Prior experience as a CEO is not essential, but demonstrable leadership at executive or director level is expected.
