The China Fleet Trust (CFT) is inviting applications for the position of Trustee and Non Executive Chair of its wholly owned trading subsidiary, the China Fleet Golf & Country Club.
The CFT is a military charity based in Saltash, Cornwall and serves the whole RN&RM family through provision of health and leisure activities at its facility at Saltash.
The appointment tenure is five years with the option to extend for a second five year tenure.
The remuneration for the NEC position will be iro £12k pa.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Trustee of the China Fleet Trust and Non Executive Company Chair of its trading subsidiary the China Fleet Club, at the China Fleet Country Club which is set in 180 acres of beautiful Cornish countryside, just 15 minutes from Plymouth’s city centre. We are a Country Club that offers accommodation, fitness & leisure, golf, dining, hair & beauty, weddings, conference and events.
Trustee
As a Trustee, you will be accountable to the Chair of the Board of Trustees and the position will involve attending 3 Trust meetings pa as well as contributing to various workstrands and working groups. This position is not remunerated but reasonable expenses will be met.

• Ability to work effectively with the Board as a whole
• Able to integrate effectively with both the charitable and commercial sectors
• Good judgement
• Strong communication skills
• Sensitive to the culture, values and mission of the organisation
• Sufficient time to dedicate.
Desirable
• Relevant knowledge of the Charitable sector
• Strong awareness of the Military sector
Non Executive Company Chair
As Company Chair, you will be accountable to the China Fleet Trust Board for the overall performance of the Company you will work closely with the Company Board providing effective leadership in all aspects of the role. You will be responsible for chairing meetings of the Company Board, setting the Board agenda, evaluating the Boards overall performance and engage with the Trust Board in contributing to development of the Trusts overall strategy.
The Company Chair role remuneration is £12k pa

• Previous Chair experience
• Good judgement
• Strong communication skills
• Sensitive to the culture, values and mission of the organisation
