Healthcare and Rehabilitation Award

Each week The Armed Forces Community Awards @ Soldiering On highlights a category that members may wish to engage with. This week, the focus is the Healthcare and Rehabilitation Award.

This category recognises an individual or team that has demonstrated a major commitment and contribution to the welfare of serving or former members of the Armed Forces community. This may be through healthcare, therapeutic treatment, or rehabilitation services and support. The work is often delivered over time and away from the spotlight, but its effect can be profound: restoring identity, rebuilding confidence and enabling people to re-engage with life beyond injury or illness.

We welcome nominations from organisations putting forward their own practitioners and teams, as well as nominations that recognise delivery partners or services that have supported your beneficiaries. Recent winners and finalists demonstrate the breadth of excellence across the sector, including Combat Stress QED Team (2025), Victor Intensive Treatment Service, PTSD Resolution, Help for Heroes, Blind Veterans UK, Veterans at Ease and With You.

If you are considering a nomination and would value help with eligibility, evidence, or how to present impact clearly, the team can support on a one-to-one basis. We are also running nomination support webinars on 19 February and 4 March  https://x-forces.zohobackstage.com/WhoDoYouKnowTheArmedForcesCommunityAwardsatSoldieringOnNominationsWorkshop1
