Nautilus Welfare Fund is a UK-registered charity administered by Nautilus International. We provide specialist support and accommodation for retired seafarers and their dependants, and we’re reaching out to explore a potential partnership with your organisation.
Our flagship estate, Mariners’ Park, is a retirement park in Wallasey, overlooking the River Mersey. It’s a truly distinctive setting – not only for its views and facilities, but for the camaraderie it fosters amongst those who’ve shared a life at sea. The estate includes 109 independent living apartments, bungalows, a bespoke supported living accommodation of 40 apartments and a 36-bed care home. Facilities available to residents include communal social areas, a laundry, a hairdresser’s salon, a gym, a games room, a community alarm system, and 24/7 emergency support.
We’ve recently completed a new multi-million-pound development of 27 two-bedroom apartments, purpose-built to provide high-quality, secure, and comfortable living for retired seafarers and their dependants. While a number of these apartments have already been filled, we are now looking to partner with Organisations like yourself to help us fill the remaining apartments. (We currently have 8 unoccupied two-bedroom apartments in the new development on the Estate within Nautilus House.) The price for the new two-bedroom apartment inside the new Nautilus House is £809 Per calendar month.
The Nautilus Mariners’ Park Estate in Wallasey is a unique place to live, where former seafarers can share memories and camaraderie in their retirement years with others who have experienced life at sea.
Eligibility requirements for living at Nautilus are:
