Veterans Response CIC offers tailored, person-centred support to veterans and their families across South Tyneside. Our team—comprising veterans and professionals with lived experience—provides:
• Housing advocacy and tenancy support
• Welfare, benefits, and financial hardship guidance
• A year-round veterans foodbank supporting over 40 families weekly
• Peer-led wellbeing support and assistance navigating NHS mental health services (e.g. Op Courage)
• Digital skills and employment support, including CV writing, training access, and job search help
• Drop-in and outreach services to tackle isolation and promote inclusion
We work in partnership with local authorities, colleges, NHS services, and veteran networks (e.g. ASDIC, Veterans Gateway) to ensure joined-up support. Our expertise lies in building trusted relationships, responding quickly to need, and providing practical, emotional, and transitional support that helps veterans move forward with confidence.
