Request for help from 50+ Service leavers (other ranks only)

The Officers’ Association (OA) is currently conducting a research project on the employment barriers and challenges to older Service leavers for which we are running group discussions in different parts of the UK. The aim of the discussions is to learn about the experiences of ex-Service personnel who made their transition into civilian work at the age of 50+.

MOD employment support trial empowers spouses of Service personnel

A new evaluation of the Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) Spouse Employment Support (SES) Trial has shown the advantages of supporting spouses of Service personnel. The evaluation, funded by Forces in Mind Trust (FiMT), and conducted by Anglia Ruskin University, reviewed how spouses progressed when given specific support to improve their chances of employment.
