Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) is delighted to be working in partnership with The Green Room (TGR), supporting Naval community mental health and wellbeing with a strong focus on preventing burnout and building long-term resilience.
The Green Room delivers professional outdoor, evidence-based mental fitness coaching designed to help individuals manage stress, improve performance, and strengthen recovery. By creating safe, supportive environments in nature, their approach encourages reflection, connection and practical tools that can be applied to everyday life.
This February, with funding from RNRMC, The Green Room is launching Mental Fitness Taster Days specifically for those who support serving personnel. These sessions are open to partners, spouses, close family members and significant friends – recognising the vital role they play and the pressures they can face in supporting others.
Mandy Harding Head of Commissioned Grants Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity:
“We are delighted to have developed and funded this offer because support shouldn’t only begin at the point of crisis. By giving people access to practical tools early in a coaching environment, these taster days will empower those who support their serving person to build mental fitness now, strengthening their wellbeing long before pressures escalate.”
The taster days offer participants the opportunity to step away from daily demands, connect with others in similar circumstances, and explore practical techniques to support their own mental fitness and wellbeing.
Emma Higginson-Smith, Co-Founder & Chief Executive, TGR Coaching:
“It is an honour and a privilege to support the family, partners, and significant friends of those who serve. The work that Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity is doing to recognise the role they play is significant, critical, and forward thinking. It takes courage to prioritise mental fitness. This work will have lasting impact for generations.”
