The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund is the RAF’s leading welfare charity and facilitates the provision of help and support for members of the RAF Family and their eligible dependants who are in need of assistance. The Fund has launched an ambitious centenary campaign to reach out to members of the RAF Family in a bid to double the number of beneficiaries that we assist. A crucial component of the campaign is the Stakeholder Engagement Plan. The objective is to engage with major Stakeholders (e.g. NHS Trusts, Police Forces, GPs, charities etc) across the country and support them in the best way possible to deliver our welfare support message both to their staff and potential members of the RAF Family that they may engage with.

We are currently recruiting a Stakeholder Engagement Project Manager for employment on a part-time (3 days per week) 12 month fixed-term contract. The role will be based in our London Headquarters but we are open to a conversation regarding some element of flexible working.

This is an exciting and genuinely unique opportunity for an individual with experience in project management roles to gain experience in a leading military charity and contribute to our national centenary reaching out campaign. This role will help the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund increase its profile, awareness and most importantly its impact.

As the Stakeholder Engagement Project Manager, you will work closely with Director Welfare & Policy, Area Directors and the Comms team to manage and deliver the Stakeholder Engagement Plan. This will involve developing and managing the project plan, as well as reporting on, and monitoring objectives.

The successful candidate will need to have previous experience managing multi-stakeholder projects along with a track record of delivering results. Strong organisational and planning skills are a must with the ability to work autonomously and prioritise output. An articulate communicator with strong IT skills suited to working in a paperless environment, you must also be able to demonstrate an ability to work well within a team.
