£24,000 per annum

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Events Assistant in the Corporate and Events Team at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity.

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to work on a variety of projects within the Special and Challenge Events teams in order to maximise current fundraising opportunities and grow new initiatives. The role will involve working on a range of events from the London Marathon and our Ride to the Somme cycle to large dinners and networking receptions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join a busy and dynamic fundraising team.


To carry out this role successfully you will have

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrable interpersonal skills
  • Solid administration experience
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise time and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent IT skills with experience of using databases
  • Attention to detail
