The Veterans Charity, a leading provider of immediate and practical support for Veterans in crisis, is proud to announce that it has officially supported 700 welfare cases in 2025 – a significant milestone that represents
an increase of over 40% compared to the same period last year.
This remarkable rise highlights the ever-growing demand for rapid, life-enhancing interventions for those who have served in the UK Armed Forces. From urgent food shopping and clothing to utility support, communications devices,
travel and even temporary emergency accommodation, The Veterans Charity’s fast-paced, compassionate response continues to make a vital difference in the lives of Veterans and their families.
Danny Greeno, CEO of The Veterans Charity, said:
“To have supported 700 cases already this year is both a moment of pride and a sobering reminder of how much need exists. Our growth reflects not only the trust that Veterans and referring organisations place in us, but also the urgency of their situations. We are committed to meeting that need head-on, every single day.
Behind every one of these 700 cases is a unique story of service and sacrifice. We owe it to every Veteran to be there when they need us most – and we couldn’t do that without the generous support of our donors, fundraisers, and partners.”
The milestone follows sustained growth in partnerships, increased public support, and the expansion of volunteer and fundraising initiatives across the UK. In 2024, the charity supported 1207 cases over the entire year – a number it is now on track to surpass significantly before the end of 2025.
The increase in welfare case referrals underscores the importance of accessible, efficient support systems for Veterans struggling with financial hardship. The Veterans Charity remains one of the only organisations in the UK offering a rapid response welfare provision for Veterans.
The Veterans Charity is calling on supporters, corporate sponsors, and the public to help it continue delivering vital aid to those who’ve given so much for their country. More information about the charity can be found at www.veteranscharity.org.uk
