The Ripple Pond – Trustees

The Ripple Pond is looking for new Trustees to join their team.  The Ripple Pond charity provides a self-help support network for the adult family members of physically or emotionally injured Service Personnel and Veterans. The charity is professionally run with offices in Aldershot. With more than 600 members spread across some 23 groups around the country, continued expansion of the Charity’s work means that we currently seek to recruit at least two Trustees to join the existing team.

Candidates must show commitment to the vision and values of the Charity, empathy for the Armed Services and the cause of helping families who have been impacted by secondary trauma as a result of physical or emotional injuries to their loved one. We require Trustees who are able to demonstrate integrity, strategic vision, good independent judgement and a willingness to contribute to our work.

Applications are welcome from enthusiastic and willing volunteers to fill various roles, applications are especially welcome from those with particular knowledge and skills in the areas of Legislation, Public Relations, Event Planning, Data Protection/Management and Financial Management.

It will be expected that you will be computer literate and have access to the internet and email, and you will have good communication and interpersonal skills.

Trustees serve for three years and are eligible for re-election to serve for a further two terms of three years.

Trustees are not remunerated, but reasonable expenses are paid.
