Walking with the Wounded – Strategic Pathways Project Manager (Scotland, NI, North of England)


Location: Gateshead with regular travel to Scotland, Northern Ireland and the North of England. Occasional travel to Southern England.

WWTW supports those who have served in the Armed Forces and their families, empowering them to regain their independence, thrive and contribute in our communities.

WWTW has been successful in securing funds from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust (AFCFT) to support, mentor and oversee the delivery of the Positive Pathways projects (also AFCFT funded) in Scotland, NI and the North of England.

As an organisation who benefits from substantial support from AFCFT, WWTW is looked upon as a trusted partner to support those regional organisations who wish to apply for AFCFT Positive Pathways grant.

You will be required to provide professional advice and guidance to enable potential applicants to submit their best quality application, to guide them through the process and to support awardees in the delivery of their grant.  You will also be in a unique position to drive collaboration and enable joined up working between potential and successful bidders.  You will devise IT based support that will better equip bidders and you will manage a shared administrator. There will also be wider business development requirements – in harmony with this project – that you will lead on.

You will also support in exploring potential for future funding for veterans services, which will involve developing and nurturing potential funders.

This is a key role for WWTW with a significant degree of responsibility. You must be an experienced relationship manager looking to take ownership of this new and exciting project. You must be someone who is able to galvanise and manage external stakeholders to ensure success of a project. You should be able to work independently, particularly in managing your time and priorities, to a set of targets. Experience of working with veterans would be beneficial although not essential.
