The video promotes the message that ‘Military is Good for Business’, and explains how the OA can help employers benefit from recruiting veterans.
Recruiting former officers benefits employers, according to a report compiled by Deloitte, with contributions from the Officers’ Association and Forces in Mind Trust (FiMT). 72% of organisations with active ex-military recruitment programmes said they would definitely recommend employing veterans. 80% said they understood how military skills matched their organisation’s needs. Veterans were considered particularly strong at communication, leadership, problem solving, planning, time management, team-work, leadership and problem solving. These are areas that around a third of organisations surveyed said they had a skill shortage.
