Forces in Mind Trust appoints Rear Admiral Jim Macleod CB CVO as new Chair

The Board of Directors of Forces in Mind Trust has appointed Jim Macleod as its Chair with effect from 14 December 2022. He will succeed Hans Pung, who is standing down after Chairing the Forces in Mind Trust Board of Directors for six years.

Jim joins the Trust having just completed a 33-year career in the Royal Navy. Starting his military career as an engineer, his latest roles have included Assistant Chief of the Defence Staff (Personnel Capability) & Defence Services Secretary and Head of Armed Forces Remuneration. Jim has also held non-executive positions as a Board Member of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, the Cabinet Office Honours and Decorations committee and as Chair of INVICTUS UK- TeamUK.

Jim Macleod said:

“I am honoured to have accepted the position of Chair and can’t wait to get started. Having spent a career in the military, I have witnessed first-hand just how incredible our people are; and more importantly how much they give in service. So, I am delighted to have the opportunity to be part of the of the Forces in Mind Trust and support the great work that the excellent staff team and Board of Directors undertake helping to ensure Service personnel, veterans, and their families, are supported as they transition from their military career into civilian life.”

Hans Pung, Chair of Forces in Mind Trust, said:

His experience speaks for itself and I have no doubt that I’m leaving this important organisation in good hands and with an excellent leader.
