Established in 2010, Walking With The Wounded ‘WWTW’ is a leading military charity which recognises that those who served, deserve.

Whether mentally wounded, socially wounded or physically wounded, they deserve the care, support and means they and their families need to function in society, serving in the communities in which they live, reigniting their sense of purpose and making a positive contribution again.

Walking With The Wounded gets those who’ve served – and their families – back on their feet. We do three things: employment, mental health and care coordination which are saving jobs, homes, relationships and lives for the veterans who are struggling since leaving the military.

Our innovative partnerships with the NHS England wide OP Courage service , and Head Start , own mental health programme enabling 121 therapy within days, are delivering significant, positive, social impacts across the UK.

We have Integrated Regional Services in the North East, North West , East of England and in the South East.

WAY is the only national charity in the UK for people aged 50 or under when their partner died. It’s a peer-to-peer support group run by a network of volunteers who have been bereaved at a young age themselves, so they understand exactly what other members are going through.

WAY was founded in 1997 and now has more than 2,800 members across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. WAY aims to provide peer-to-peer emotional and practical support to young widowed men and women – married or not, with or without children, whatever their sexual orientation – as they adjust to life after the death of their partner.

X-Forces supports serving Armed Forces personnel, Veterans, Reservists, and their families to start-up UK businesses, by delivering mentoring, training, support and start-up loans. We also support Cadets with enterprise for life skills.

We are passionate in our ambition to change the lives and career opportunities for the military community. We have, as of March 2021, lent £22.9M in seed-funding and provided over 37,500 hours of vital mentoring and training.

We work directly with numerous military charities to deliver enterprise training through business planning programmes for the Armed Forces community. These programmes help those who are interested in setting up their own business to make informed decisions, and acquire the tools, knowledge and support they need to succeed.

X-Forces is the Business Enterprise Trainer for the Career Transition Partnership (CTP), a partnering agreement between Right Management and the Ministry of Defence.
