The Durham based charity, Finchale, has received a much-needed grant of £103,000 from Help for Heroes, a charity which is all about giving the very best support for life to the wounded veterans, servicemen and women and their families whose lives are changed by their injuries and illness.

The Royal Family’s Facebook page hosted the World Premiere of a new film of the pair in conversation over FaceTime from their respective homes in London and Los Angeles. They discussed the powerful films that have been released showing people from all walks of life discussing their mental health challenges under the #oktosay banner. Lady Gaga praised them for the ‘beautiful stories’ they told.

Around 70 post boxes on the London Marathon route will wear Heads Together headbands, to match the headbands being provided to all 39,000 runners, which they can wear on race day no matter the cause they are running for. This morning Prince Harry handed out headbands to some of the runners as they collected their race numbers at the opening day of the London Marathon Expo.

Andrew Whitby, 55, signed up to the epic 100-mile route after watching the acclaimed documentary, Fixing Dad. The heart-warming story, allied with Andrew’s own passion for cycling, meant that the temptation was all too much to deny. He says: “The documentary was brilliant, incredibly heart-warming. I’m also a keen cyclist and have completed the Tour de Moor a few times, so it’s got to the point where I’m thinking, ‘right, what’s the next challenge going to be then?’.”
