Adrian Bell succeeds Robert Robson as Chief Executive at the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity

The Board of Trustees of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity is delighted to announce the
appointment of Adrian Bell as the new Chief Executive to succeed Robert Robson.

Adrian joins the charity after eight years as Chief Executive of the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air
Ambulance, following a long career with the Royal Navy during which he commanded three warships
and concluded with command of British Forces in Gibraltar.

Stoll, the Veterans’ charity and Housing Association, is pleased to welcome Mary O’Neill as its new Health and Wellbeing Manager. Mary, a qualified Occupational Therapist, has over 15 years’ experience working in the NHS and Social Services including mental health services and physical rehabilitation; with particular expertise in community therapy.

Summer Fayre raises over £7,000 for disabled veterans

On Saturday 14 July, Care for Veterans opened its doors for its annual Summer Fayre, as it has done for many decades.

Despite the World Cup, Wimbledon, and Worthing Pride all being on at the same time, hundreds of visitors came to support the day and a fabulous £7,390 was raised for the charity! Guests enjoyed live performances by the Care for Veterans Choir, the Wonder Girls Pom Pom Troupe, line dancers and the Bubble Man, and also had their photographs taken with Storm Troopers from the Iconic Legion and viewed the amazing motorbikes on show from Raevens Motorcycle Club and Sussex Military Classic bikes.

Veterans Memory Café is launched in Plymouth City Centre

4th of July sees a new drop-in café open its doors to veterans and their carers at The Royal British Legion Pop-in, Plymouth..

Alzheimer’s Society research shows that 850,000 people in the UK have a form of dementia. By 2021, 1 million people will be living with the condition. The Legion recognises the need of dedicated care for our beneficiaries and their carers that are living with dementia.

Paint the town red… and yellow, pink, blue, green and purple for the RAF Association!

The Royal Air Forces Association wants to keep everyone near RAF Cosford and RAF Wittering in the pink at RAFA Colour Chaos on 26 August and 9 September respectively.

These fun family events, open to the general public, are being held within the grounds of RAF Cosford and RAF Wittering and will entail approximately 5km of colourful fun. You can run, jog, dance, walk, whatever you feel like; the one certain thing is that you will get plastered in powder paint!
