LIBOR: SWV are extremely grateful to the LIBOR fund for granting them their full funding application for £1,054,800. The grant will finance their Pain Management Programme for a further three years.
SWV Ski Week: SWV have now completed their Veteran interviews for their 2018 Ski Week, and have selected 26 Veterans (out of 180 applications) to join their Skihabiliation programme next March.
Carol Concert: On 4th December, SWV held their first Carol Concert at St Peter’s Church, Eaton Sq. With over 500 tickets sold and a waiting list of over 100, they are happy to announce that this will now become an annual event.

In August the charity undertakes its most challenging expedition, thus far, by taking 14 WIS veterans to dive Chuuk Lagoon, widely regarded as the best wreck diving site in the world. George ‘Sharky’ Ward, from Caversham in Berkshire, fulfilled his wish to return to the ship where he served in the Royal Navy. The ship played a big part in his time posted in Egypt in the 1950’s – and brings back many memories.
During his 14 years in the Royal Navy, George was posted in many locations including the Mediterranean and Africa. Serving at the rank of Petty Officer, he was a Naval Gunner.
