We are delighted that Carly will be performing her new song ‘Liberty’ for the first time at the Soldiering On Awards. In addition to recognising all of our amazing Finalists, ‘Liberty’ will be sung as a special tribute in this anniversary year for RAF 100.

The event, which was held in the stunning surroundings of the Portsmouth Room at the Portsmouth Guildhall, was sponsored by Kilfrost Ltd and hosted by Solent LEP. It was a reunion for the sixteen members of the 2017 cohort and celebrated their success. It was also the launch-pad for the second programme which will start in September 2018.
Read moreAn international powerboat race, which comes to Falmouth from June 29 to July 1, has announced a partnership with a sailing charity for injured veterans.
The new partnership will see the International Powerboat Race Club (IPRC) join together with Falmouth-based Turn to Starboard for the first time to raise funds for those affected by military operations.
After a day of testing and launching the powerboats at Port Pendennis Shipyard, drivers will make a splash on Saturday, 30 June as they race two laps of a course from Falmouth to Plymouth and back – a total of 144 miles.

Arthur is a resident at The Royal Star & Garter Homes in Solihull, a Charity that provides specialist care for veterans and their partners who live with disability or dementia.
To celebrate Arthur’s award, the Home organised a tea party in his honour.

The Force for Good garden is a demonstration of how horticulture has given these individuals a second chance at life and how everyone can benefit from its therapeutic benefits.
