Read moreStoll, the leading provider of supported housing for Veterans, has published housing criteria for Veterans interested in moving into brand new accommodation in Aldershot. Thirty four homes are currently being built in Evelyn Avenue for vulnerable and disabled Veterans to rent from Spring 2018.
Andrea Howlett, Stoll’s Director of Housing and Development said: “Given the shortage of appropriate housing for Veterans, we are inviting Veterans who need both housing and support to apply for a new home. The new purpose built accommodation will enable people who have served in the Armed Forces to rent an affordable place to live. People will also receive tailored support to meet their individual needs.”

The ceremony at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire gave around 300 family members, friends and colleagues the opportunity to commemorate the lives of relatives and ancestors who lost their lives, some of whom have no grave or last resting place.

Aldershot, Hampshire: The Ripple Pond is thrilled to announce the release of funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund. This will be used to highlight, support and engage with local Hampshire military families.
The Ripple Pond is a self-help support network for adult family members and friends of the physically or emotionally injured Service Personnel and Veterans. Through group meetings, a buddy system and a secret forum we provide a non-judgmental and confidential outlet to meet others coping with similar experiences. We are finding that caring for loved ones leaves many vulnerable to potential secondary trauma themselves – anxiety, stress, loneliness…

Read moreAn occupational therapy student from Abergele has reached the summit of Wales’ highest peak, Snowden, having completed the walk completely blindfolded. She has done so to raise awareness and money for Blind Veterans UK, the national charity for vision-impaired ex-Service men and women.
Izzy Jones, currently a student in York, embarked on the epic walk on Sunday 4 June. Despite the daunting task, Izzy maintains it was the support of her guide that helped her to the top of the mountain in one piece.
