Are you ready for the 24-hour life raft survival challenge?

It will be cold, it could get windy, and it will definitely be wet!

A Cornish sailing charity is calling out for intrepid individuals prepared to leave their home comforts and spend 24 hours in a life raft for charity.

On Friday May 18, a team of brave volunteers will climb into an inflatable life raft and be floated out into Falmouth Harbour to battle the wind and waves. The day-long challenge aims to raise funds for Turn to Starboard, a sailing charity supporting Armed Forces personnel affected by military operations.

Grants to charities that support the serving Army

The closing date for the next round of applications for grants from The Army Central Fund is Friday 16 March 2018. Successful applicants will receive their grant in the period 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019.

Each application is considered on its merits. It is a competitive process as the total applied for usually exceeds funds available. There is no guarantee that an application will be successful, particularly if your charity has been successful before.
