Join Forces into Health for an evening of networking. The group was formed in response to a growing number of Service Leavers who have either transitioned, or are thinking of transitioning, into the Health Sector. The Forces into Health network will aim to support individuals with contacts, advice and information, wherever possible. In particular, it signposts opportunities and recommends ‘points of entry’.

X-Forces Enterprises celebrates a successful 2017 Naval Families Enterprise Project Initial Cohort and launches A Second Programme in Plymouth

London, April 13, 2018: X-Forces Enterprises (XFE), together with Greenwich Hospital, A Crown Royal Navy Charity, met with the 2017 cohort from the Naval Families Enterprise Project in Portsmouth on Thursday 12 April 2018.

The event, which was held in the stunning surroundings of the Portsmouth Room at the Portsmouth Guildhall, was sponsored by Kilfrost Ltd and hosted by Solent LEP. It was a reunion for the sixteen members of the 2017 cohort and celebrated their success. It was also the launch-pad for the second programme which will start in September 2018.

OA Provides Employment Support to More Than 4,700 Officers

We are proud of how we help serving and former officers develop new careers after leaving the Armed Forces, as highlighted in our latest Impact Report.

In 2016-17, the OA Employment Team helped 4,782 officers – a 7% increase from the previous year. In addition, 1,757 new job seekers registered with the OA, an increase of 10% from the year before. The support included 780 career consultations, providing impartial and practical advice, and 1,532 people attended OA networking events.

The provision of good quality living accommodation for service personnel and their families is an important priority for the Ministry of Defence (MOD).
The MOD’s Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) manages around 50,000 properties in the UK including planning targeted improvement programmes and planning future requirements. On behalf of the DIO, CarillionAmey, manages a comprehensive maintenance service; the allocation of properties; SFA furniture; conducting move in and move out appointments; and the provision of improvements.
